Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine shredded coconut, sugar, and condensed milk.
- Stir continuously over medium heat until the mixture thickens and begins to turn golden.
- If desired, add vanilla, fruit puree, or cinnamon to the mixture.
- Spoon the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, forming small mounds or squares.
- Let the candy cool for about an hour before serving.

- For a crunchier texture, bake cocada at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
